In 2000, Prof. Dr. Thomas Eger was appointed adjunct professor at the University of Kassel, and since 2001 he has been professor for Economic Analysis of Law at the Institute of Law and Economics.
From 2005 to 2017 he was, among other things, coordinator of the elective specialization “Economic Analysis of Law” at the Faculty of Law and director of the Institute of Law and Economics.
Since 2017 he has been professor emeritus at the Faculty of Law at the University of Hamburg. He is also co-author of the book “The Economics of Open Access”, which was published in 2018.
