Prof. Dr. Gerald Spindler studied law at the University of Frankfurt (Main), the University of Geneva and the University of Lausanne. In addition, he completed a correspondence degree course in economics at the distance university of Hagen.
Currently, he holds the chair for civil law, commercial and business law, comparative law as well as multimedia and telecommunications law at the Georg-August-University in Göttingen.
He is also founder and co-editor of the legal open access journal JIPITEC.
