Eric Steinhauer

Prof. Dr.  Eric W. Steinhauer studied law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster. He also studied political science and education at the Distance University of Hagen.

He is a German lawyer, librarian and honorary professor specializing in library law and copyright law. He advocates reforms of the German library legislation and the free access to scientific information and publications. 

Eric Steinhauer has been an honorary professor at the Humboldt University Berlin since 2014. He is also founder and co-editor of the legal Open Access journal Recht und Zugang (RUZ).
