Prof. Dr. Katharina de la Durantaye studied law at the Humboldt University of Berlin and received her doctorate in 2003. In 2005 she obtained a Master of Law from Yale Law School.
From 2005 to 2011 she taught as a university lecturer in the US. She was a junior professor of civil law at Humboldt University of Berlin from 2010 to 2018.
Since 2018 she has been full professor for Civil Law and Private Media Law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt an der Oder. She is also co-editor of the Open Access journal Recht und Zugang (RUZ).
