Prof. Lawrence Lessig received a B.A. degree in Economics and a B.S. degree in Management, an M.A. degree in Philosophy and a J.D. degree from Yale Law School in 1989.
He is currently the Roy L. Furman Professor of Law and Leadership at Harvard Law School. Previously, he also taught at Stanford Law School, where he founded the Center for Internet and Society (CIS) in 2000.
He is a founding board member of the non-profit organization Creative Commons, founded in 2001. Cited by the New Yorker as “the most important thinker on intellectual property in the Internet age,” Lessig has focused much of his career on law and technology, particularly with regard to copyright law.
